Last Sunday one of my friends and I went to downtown Toronto to do some shopping and sightseeing on a street known as Queen Street West. It's a rather popular street due to it's highly...er...unique choice of shops. There are a variety of shops, such as vintage and thrift stores, current day stores (Aritzia, Aldo, Zara, H&M, etc.), record shops, stores selling various trinkets made by artists trying to break into the artistic career, small restaurants and coffee shops, some 18+ shops (if you catch my drift), street vendors; as well as the CTV station building and the Much Music building. There is simply just a HUGE variety of stores, and strolling along the street and popping into various shops is a lovely way to spend one's day.
Anyways, while there we visited a tons of shops, my favourites being a very small and cramped antique shop that housed various marvelous treasures, and a thrift store full of wonderful clothes. Since I've put myself on a budget I only purchase two dresses, both very lovely, that will be seen in future outfit posts. The day in general was very good. We both received free bottles of Vitamin Water (delicious), we saw a Harry Potter themed car that stood in front of a building that looked abandoned, but when we peered through the window we saw that it was decorated to look like a room that would be seen at Hogwarts; furthermore we both had fun doing some sightseeing and took lovely pictures in front of a very architecturally beautiful building. Since, we didn't have a chance to do everything we wanted, we're going back this weekend.
If anyone of you ever decide to come to visit Toronto, I highly recommend visiting QSW.
Ps. I thought I'd mention my reason for the gaps between posts, and that is simply due to the fact that I work full time during the week and my work clothes are certainly nothing blog worthy, so I'm spacing out my updates so I won't go 5 days without a post.
