This dress was a gift, brought back to me from Lithuania. It's the most gorgeous little number, with a texture that is made to look like a bed of roses. It was the perfect dress to pair with a big brimmed hat this past Saturday, and frolic in a secret garden in Niagara Falls. I feel so Parisian in this dress, which only makes me love it more.
After taking hundreds of pictures in the garden, my parents and I visited some wineries where we had some yummy food and tasted interesting wines. We bought some Rose wine which has to be my absolute favourite. Not only is it a beautiful pink tone, but it's marvellously delicious.

Ps. I went to see Midnight in Paris today, and I have to say that it is an incredible movie. I'm putting it up there with An Education.

badlands

On Sunday my parents and I went to the badlands located outside of Brampton near a little town called Terra Cotta. The badlands are composed of a clay substance called terracotta, hence the name for the town. It was just an incredible sight. The mounds and hills don't look like they belong there. Mother nature is astonishing sometimes because I honestly think that the badlands look like they have been photoshopped in the rest of the scenery.
My parents and I had a wonderful time climbing the hills and taking photos. Now whoever said that climbing in a dress and sandals isn't appropriate, was completely and utterly wrong. I found myself a much better climber than many of the people clad in shorts and running shoes.

talk in poet's style is not enough

The world is full of many beautiful natural attractions, and while there are stories, poems, and songs written about them, galleries of photographs and paintings, and museums all in honour of mother nature's beautiful creations, I don't think anything can do them justice unless one see's them for oneself. Niagara Falls is probably my favourite place on the planet. The falls are a breathtaking sight, and while they are basically in my backyard, people travel from far and wide to see them. Sometimes it's easy to forget how lucky I am to have these magnificent mountains of water near me, to be able to see them and marvel in their beauty.
On the weekend we went to the USA side to see the falls; another point of view you could say. We also went down to the Cave of the Winds, which basically let's you go get up close and personal with the falls. It's rather hard to explain, but you can read more about it here (there's even a little video). If you get the chance, GO!!!!

you've got a friend in me

I've had an amazing weekend. Yesterday, me and three of my friends went out for dinner at a golf club (I'll post my outfit photos another day), and then today we went to Toronto Island. We packed a picnic lunch, rode a quadricycle (we brought iPod speakers along through which we blasted Lady Gaga, Down With Webster, Katy Perry and more; we got lots of looks from other bike riders because no one else thought to bring music along for the ride), walked through a maze, and just had a lot of laughs in between.
These are some of the photos we took. My camera got passed around, so all photos of me are taken by my friends. Self-timer was used for the four of us, and a couple of the random shots might have been taken by my friends, but I honestly can't remember.

Ps. Hedley has become my summer music.
