just paint the picture of a perfect place

While I was going about, completing the various tedious tasks at work, I started thinking about the current book I'm reading, Little Women. For those who remember, I said I was reading Moby Dick, well simply put, it's a tad boring (for my taste at least). I understand that it's supposed to read like a whaling manual at times, but I just needed a break from it, so I turned to Little Women before I divulge myself in the depths of Moby Dick once more. Anyways, while reading Little Women I began to think about how much we have in today's society. Even if we are poorer, we still so much more than people had back in the 1800's. Technology being a key invention (without which this blog would not exist). Yet, while reading the book, I wonder what it would have been like to live back then, minus all the untreatable diseases and possible unsanitary living conditions. Life seemed so much simpler, the world so much smaller, yet now we are overcome by so much.
I think it'd be really interesting to get to live a day in the life of someone in the 1800's. Yes, life was harder, but then again, isn't it hard now?
