polka dance

After work I wandered down to the lake to this gazebo to take photos. While taking them it started to rain, so I was really lucky to be under a roof. I love the lake when it rains; the way the waves get bigger, and the seagulls try to find shelter near boats, rocks or the dock, how the wind picks up and you can smell the water. It's so beautiful. I could just sit there on a bench staring at the water, or maybe reading a book.
I'm sad that I didn't get a closer shot of my hair clip. When I was 4/5 years old, my mom used to pick me up from elementary school and we would walk to a pretty street lined with tiny shops full of dainty little objects; kind of like Diagon alley in Harry Potter. My mom would sometimes buy me a little object, and this hair clip was one of those. To be honest, at the time I think my mom wanted it more than I did, but right now I'm really glad to own it. (It's a bunch of little women and men in colourful clothing dancing).

I'm wearing my jacket again. It was utterly freezing today. Last week I was walking around bare legged, and now I'm huddled in a jacket. The weather is playing tricks that I just don't like.
