lavender
I don't think there is a flower more beautiful than lavender. It smells incredibly sweet, and the purple colour, well...I love anything purple. This isn't really an outfit post, more of a post on how amazing lavender is, and how I wish my mother would plant a whole garden full of it, but instead she wants variety. Pshh, who needs variety when you can have a garden full of purple sweet smelling flowers?

lazing on a sunny afternoon
Today we had beautiful weather. It wasn't too hot in the sun, and in the shade it was the perfect temperature to cool off from the sun. Unfortunately, work prevented me from enjoying the weather. Working full time really is bothersome since weekends are the only days that I can have fun.

This outfit is perfect for summer. I dress rather conservatively, so I find summer months kind of annoying since it's hard to find an outfit that will keep me cool without revealing too much. Yet, this outfit is wonderful, and if it gets too hot, I can always remove the vest.
I cannot believe that in 2 weeks Friday I will begin University, well truthfully it'll be Frosh week, but university classes will start officially on September 9th. I'm really excited, yet I must admit I'm getting a tad nervous as the days draw nearer.
a rose by any other name would smell as sweet
These pictures were inspired by a blog post that I found somewhere. I honestly don't remember whose blog is was, but if it was yours let me know. I think the photos were part of an editorial. Anyways, I love roses, and my mum planted this rose bush for me. We have a bunch of other rose bushes but this one is mine.
Have any of you heard the saying, "Stop to smell the roses"? Well, yesterday I did just that, and it was worth it. Taking the time out of my busy life to simply stop and smell the roses was wonderful. I never realised how marvelous roses smell after a summer rain. I must of sat on the little rock for quite some time smelling the roses. I recommend that you all take a minute out of your busy lives to stop and smell the roses.
My question to you all is, would a rose by any other name smell as sweet? After all, it's all about perception and our views. I'd like to hear what you all think. :)

we're the breakfast club
I had an amazing weekend that was filled with laughter, late night walks, games, lots of DDR, beautiful architecture, late night movies, and most importantly, new friends. My commuter orientation was very successful and I met some truly lovely people whom I hope to see in the future. This weekend definitely made me even more excited for the start of university. It felt strange to be going to university orientation when it seems it was only yesterday when I was attending my grade 9 orientation. Anyways, I had a wonderful weekend, and to top it all off, I went out for coffee with one of my friends when I got back from university, and this is what I wore. My weekend outfits are not blog worthy, as I dressed down a bit.

when the world seems to shine like you had too much wine, that's amore
I had a fantastically amazing day today. After doing some shopping in Buffalo, we came back to Canada and we went to Niagara Falls where we walked around beautiful gardens and near the falls, taking hundreds of pictures along the way. Next we headed down to a winery for some wine tasting, at which point we bought tons of wine. After that we went down to the little town called Niagara on the Lake, where we strolled along the street and took many pictures near magnificent flower beds. We sampled lots of delicacies in one little shop, and on the way home we stopped to buy some delicious looking cherries. Overall, it was a beautiful day, and it was made even better, while on the drive home I listened to Italian music with the sunlight pouring in through the windows.
