If I could own any piece from this collection, I would be the happiest person in the world.

if i could turn back time
I have always had a place in my heart for the Christian Dior couture collections. From all the designers that have couture collections, the Christian Dior collections always seem to stand out among the rest, and in my opinion, they are the most creative. The Fall 2009 couture collection is simply amazing. John Galliano was inspired by photographs from the 1950's that showcased Monsieur Dior getting his models dressed for shows. Therefore, the models in this show appear half dressed, with an emphasis on a particular item of clothing. Although this couture collection is deemed rather "simple" compared to previous collections, it is also noted that John Galliano used a stroke of genious to turn the typical 50's housewife look into something that is utterly stunning, feminine, and quite sexy while still remaining classy at the same time.
This reminds me of one of the first original Barbie Dolls. Anyone else see the resemblance?
